According to the newest statistics, China produced some 8.35 million tons of ship plates in the first half of 2010, increased by around 2 million tons or 32 percent than last half year.
The output of high strength ship plates reached 3.3 million tons, up by 1.18 million tons than last half year.
In addition, the medium heavy carbon steel plates also rose by 22.2 percent to 22.87 million tons in the first half of 2010.
In addition, the production of steel plate for containers reached 722,200 tons, increased by 309.6 percent or 546,000 tons than the last same period of last year.
