Stemcor, the world’s largest independent steel trader who is acting as a trading intermediary and value-adding service provider with 15 million tons of steel and steel-making raw materials per annum through a network of 80 offices across the globe has acquired Semi Produtos de Metais Lda (Semimetais), a service center who operates slitting facility slitting brass, copper, aluminum and steel strip for expansion.
Semcor decided to purchase Semimetais as the company is part of Wieland Group who is now a leading manufacturer of semi-finished products & special products made from copper and copper alloys.
Stemcor expects to distribute its products to fulfill the regional demand and help to facilitate the company's expansion project of selling steel, aluminum, brass and copper products.
